During times of terror, destruction and heartache such as what has recently occurred in ORLANDO - I have found that when I search my own heart it is a completely humbling experience. How do I respond? What could I have done differently? How does this change the world we live in and how can I be of service in times like these? I don't know about you but my dependence upon God grows. I am aware of my inherent selfishness and flippant words and yet humbled that God would use me to pray or to write a BLOG that might help or comfort someone else. I know this - I definitely didn't want to be flippant about what I wrote concerning the situation in Orlando. I think when it comes to times such as these it is a great opportunity to examine our words not only concerning this situation but on a daily basis. To truly be a light in the times we are living in we need to allow God to purify our hearts and set a watch over what we say. Many times it may seem like we don't have a platform to speak but in the world of social media we all have a platform. Let's not take this opportunity lightly but instead respond to God by saying "Here am I, send ME."

Isaiah 6:1-8(Message)

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Master sitting on a throne—high, exalted!—and the train of his robes filled the Temple. Angel-seraphs hovered above him, each with six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two their feet, and with two they flew. And they called back and forth one to the other,

Holy, Holy, Holy is God-of-the-Angel-Armies.
His bright glory fills the whole earth.

The foundations trembled at the sound of the angel voices, and then the whole house filled with smoke. I said,

“Doom! It’s Doomsday!
    I’m as good as dead!
Every word I’ve ever spoken is tainted—
    blasphemous even!
And the people I live with talk the same way,
using words that corrupt and desecrate.
And here I’ve looked God in the face!
    The King! God-of-the-Angel-Armies!”

Then one of the angel-seraphs flew to me. He held a live coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. He touched my mouth with the coal and said,

“Look. This coal has touched your lips.
    Gone your guilt,
    your sins wiped out.”
And then I heard the voice of the Master:
    “Whom shall I send?
    Who will go for us?”
I spoke up,
    “I’ll go.
    Send me!”
