What do you think we need more than anything in this generation? Looking around at the brokenness and confusion in our world today I believe we need a revolution of restoration. The anxiety statistics in 20 somethings is astounding – what more proof do we need than to realize we need a revolution of peace. People’s souls are shaken – hurt by those closest to them and threatened by opposing nations – the lack of security we feel is understandable. Yet in the midst of all this I believe God is saying – take courage! I am here! To open blind eyes and deaf ears – not just physically but spiritually- to bring wholeness and peace. Rivers in a dry land – a place that seems so dry God wants to give everyone a chance to DRINK – no matter who you are. John 4:14 – Jesus says He is LIVING spiritual water and any sinner that comes to him will never thirst again. He knows all about your secret sins and the loneliness and emptiness you may feel as a result and seeks to fill that void in side of you. Will you let him in? You can’t get lost on his road.

Isaiah 35:4-9

Energize the limp hands,
strengthen the rubbery knees.
Tell fearful souls,
“Courage! Take heart!
God is here, right here,
on his way to put things right
And redress all wrongs.
He’s on his way! He’ll save you!”

5-7 Blind eyes will be opened,
deaf ears unstopped,
Lame men and women will leap like deer,
the voiceless break into song.
Springs of water will burst out in the wilderness,
streams flow in the desert.
Hot sands will become a cool oasis,
thirsty ground a splashing fountain.
Even lowly jackals will have water to drink,
and barren grasslands flourish richly.

8-10 There will be a highway
called the Holy Road.
No one rude or rebellious
is permitted on this road.
It’s for God’s people exclusively—
impossible to get lost on this road.
Not even fools can get lost on it.
No lions on this road,
no dangerous wild animals—
Nothing and no one dangerous or threatening.
Only the redeemed will walk on it.
The people God has ransomed
will come back on this road.
They’ll sing as they make their way home to Zion,
unfading halos of joy encircling their heads,
Welcomed home with gifts of joy and gladness
as all sorrows and sighs scurry into the night.
