Breaking Out of the BOX

So this month we just started our series on “Breaching the Frame.”

To be honest this kind of a subject is right up my alley. I love anything creative unusual or “out of the box” - weird things and people don’t exactly bother me  but instead I usually gravitate to them. I love change and despise anything monotonous the same or black and white.

Thats why when I went to contemplate what breaching the frame meant to me I actually felt sort of blank because it’s not a concept that throws me off exactly. Honestly my life these days has been all about finding stability, balance, and learning to appreciate even the mundane simple things. As someone that has been completely out of balance in the past this has been a very healthy thing for me. Maybe that’s why I was thrown off guard when I went to contemplate what living out of the box means to me in this season.

I have turned down trips lately and reveled in the day to day simple routine. Truth is I have gotten a bit comfortable. Things that used to excite me before like traveling and experiencing new things have somewhat lost their luster. However I am getting to the point where God is calling me out of what is comfortable little by little and I have to say it has been one of the most fulfilling experiences.

Recently I prayed with this girl to receive the Holy Spirit and I have to say it was one of the most special experiences of my life. I am learning that many times God has to get us through the difficult and mundane things in order to bring us into more.

I am realizing though that he is not interested us backing down and remaining comfortable when he calls us out on the water. Many times we have a tendency to get ahead of God and his timing and yet there are seasons in our life where we might be tempted to give into the temptation to remain comfortable. This is honestly I believe soul killing. Stepping out of the box is not always the easiest thing to do but many times it is the right thing to do.

Let’s allow God to transform us into the kind of people that live BOLD and unashamed lives walking freely into all that he has planned for us!

In Jesus name I pray amen

      Love, Ash
